Fireworks
Shortly after leaving Albuquerque we came across a little town that was nothing but fireworks shops. Yes we stopped and bought a small box of entertainment. Note the Fire Marshal vehicles. They were in the store issuing violations for all kind of stuff. You should have seen how nervous all the employees were. Aunt Linda strolls up ti the Fire Marshal and asks for a copy of the Safety Tips. Fire Marshal tells the store manager to give her one. He says “We don’t have any of those”. Fire marshal wrote another ticket and went out to his car and gave Aunt Linda one. He didn’t give one to the store, he told them to go to the website. Funny stop, not sure how I am going to get these on the airplane!
Alien Adventure
Well, on the way to the alien adventure, we had a little problem. Brayden got sick (ugh) and when Uncle Rick pulled the coach to the side we hit the “wake me up” bumps and they broke the leveling Device for the air bags in the back. The back end of the coach started dragging and we were all stop.
He got under there, I don’t know how he fit in that little space, and in an hour or so had it “Jury Rigged” so we could get on to the next town and find those aliens. Check those legs out!
So, we finally made it to Roswell, found a mechanic shop that would do a permanent fix on the coach and we headed off into alien land in search of the little green men. First stop was a little black and white panda.
After refreshments, we headed to Roswell world famous UFO Museum. Interesting, but did not convince me of little green men. Very good presentation.
Carlsbad Caverns National Park
Truly a wonder of the world! Hard to describe, you have to see it to believe it. The cavern “Big Room” is 4000ft X 225ft. It’s the size of 13 football fields.
Great stop. Something you don't get to see everyday.

Trip Update
The desert heat is getting pretty oppressive, there is a heat wave going on in the SW, hitting 116F in some locations. We all agreed to skip the next two stops and head straight to Pine Valley. We will have to overnight in Wilcox, AZ on the way.

We really just ate there, slept and gave the coach a well deserved bath. Pine Valley here we come!

Made it to Pine Valley the next day
I was able to get my flight changed and headed back to Lemoore on Sunday. Glad to be home.
